When you reach out to book your session, the first thing I will do is ask how you two lovebirds met and what you like to do for fun. I love a good love story! It is important for me to get to know you as a couple so I can capture your unique love story in a way that is authentic, beautiful, and memorable.

Engagement & Pre-Wedding Photoshoot Themes

Here are some ideas for engagement and pre-wedding photoshoot themes that will showcase your unique relationship and bond.

Nature - A nature themed engagement photoshoot involves taking photos in a forest, park, or garden. Depending on the season, you may want to incorporate props such as flowers, leaves, snow balls, picnic baskets, and blankets.

Beach or Waterfront - For a beach or waterfront themed engagement shoot, head to the water. Take photos with the ocean, lake or pond as your backdrop. You may want to include boats, kayaks, anchors, beach chairs, umbrellas, or surfboards in your photos.

Urban - An engagement shoot with an urban theme involves taking photos in a city setting. This may include locations such as in front of brick walls, on city streets, on a rooftop, or with skyscrapers in the background.

Romantic - A romantic theme often involves taking photos in a setting that is soft and dreamy, such as a garden, field, gazebo, or on a dock at sunset. You may want to incorporate props like candles, flower petals, string lights, or hire a violinist.

Rustic - A rustic themed engagement shoot often involves taking photos in a barn, farm, or field. It can also include elements like wooden doors, wooden signs, and cobblestone walls/walkways.

Sports - A sports themed engagement photoshoot is perfect for couples who share a love for sports. You may choose to take photos at a sports field or sporting venue. Or simply bring sports props such as jerseys or balls in your photos.

Travel - This theme is perfect for couples who love to travel. Plan a trip to Boston and take photos in popular tourist spots. You may choose to take photos with the swan boats, duck boats, statues, or trolley. This is also a great them for those who have a destination wedding planned.

Fairytale - An engagement shoot with a fairytale theme often involves taking photos in a setting that is whimsical and romantic. Castles, forests, and gardens are great photoshoot locations. You can also incorporate smoke, fairy lights, lanterns, or flower crowns.

Holiday - For a holiday themed engagement photoshoot, take photos in a setting that is decorated for a holiday, such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, or Halloween. Add to the holiday theme by including props such as balloons, holiday colors, and candy.

Landmark - The place you first met or the place where you proposed can make for wonderful engagement session locations. Some examples include school or work. Using the place you met your significant other is a sweet and sentimental way to capture your engagement photos.
